The
Huxford Genealogical Society Library has been the recipient of
numerous donations from personal genealogical collections over
the years. These donations are often for individual books,
microfilm, CDs or a family history publication.
Some donations have included an
individual's entire collection of genealogical materials
accumulated over a lifetime of research. Of course, the
donation of the Folks Huxford collection was the original
donation that was the impetus for establishing the Huxford
Society.
The recognition of every donation would be
a very long list and perhaps too numerous to list here, however,
the Society would like to recognize here some of the very large
collections donated to the Society over the years. This is
certainly not an all inclusive listing of large donations made
to the Huxford Library, but with your help perhaps we can make
this listing more complete.
Should you be aware of other donations of
collections made in the past that are not included here, please
let the
Webmaster know. If you can share a picture of
the person or persons making a donation to the Huxford Library,
their picture can be posted here as well. If you have more
information concerning the contents of the donations listed,
including the surnames involved; that information would be
most welcome as well.
